Mad DashPeople in Bath are being urged to take part in a fun run to support work to improve services for cancer patients.

The Mad Dash is being organised by the Forever Friends Appeal, and will be held at Bath Spa University on Sunday, July 10.

The 10km and 2km runs will follow different routes around the Newton St Loe campus, and all the money raised will fund medical equipment and facilities to care for cancer patients at the Royal United Hospital.

It is the second year that the appeal has organised the event.

This year the appeal team is working on a new campaign to improve cancer services, starting with fundraising for a new gamma-CT Scanner.

Events fundraiser Natalie Hannam said: “This will be the perfect family day out.

“All you need to bring are the spectators and the picnic; we have the entertainment and views covered.

“Last year’s event was fantastic and we are eager to build on the success.

“Raising funds for equipment for cancer patients at the RUH is a cause close to the hearts of so many people across the catchment area.

“We hope lots of people sign up to take part and make this event even bigger and better than before.”

The 10km run starts at 10am and is followed by the 2km run.

To sign up, or for more information about the event, visit our Mad Dash page or call 01225 825691.
