Senior Events Fundraiser – Band 4

Salary:£19,409 to £22,683

As the charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath, The Forever Friends Appeal is currently running 2 major capital campaigns to build both a new Therapies Centre, and a new Cancer Centre at the RUH. In addition to Capital projects the charity also supports and raises funds for a wide range of other facilities, equipment and projects across RUH wards and departments.

You will play an important role in developing and supporting a range of fundraising event activity, whether it’s recruiting participants, researching and supporting fundraisers, and representing The Forever Friends Appeal at events.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Project manage specific event activities such as the Bath Half Marathon and Overseas Treks, develop materials and work with Events & Community Officer to implement new methods of marketing Appeal events and raising the profile of these events across the whole RUH catchment area.
  • Responsible for delivering a supporter event experience that surpasses supporters’ expectations.
  • Research and develop fundraising opportunities in participation events.
  • Work closely with line Manager to identify and implement new opportunities.

Provisional interview date: 25th January 2018

Please note this post is offered on a full time basis: 37.5 hours per week, normally between Monday to Friday (office hours: 9am – 5.30pm), but with regular evening / weekend community activity outside of these hours (time in lieu.)
