This Saturday, 1st October, Royal Victoria Park in Bath will be playing host to an outdoor film screening of Toy Story 3, organised by the Royal United Hospital’s Forever Friends Appeal. Entrance to the event is free, however there will be fundraising on the night encouraging donations in support of the RUH Space for Cancer Care Campaign.
Events & Community Officer, Jo Hones, comments: “Coming along on Saturday night to enjoy this popular Disney Classic will be a perfect way to spend one of the last weekends of summer. If the weather forecast is right, the sun will be shining all weekend – which will give us a beautiful evening to enjoy this fabulous family event in the city of Bath.”
Rated U, the showing of Toy Story 3 is open to all the family. Gates will open at 6.30pm, before the film starts at approximately 7.30pm. Royal Victoria Park is a wonderful green space at the heart of Bath. So do pack a picnic, but glasses and barbeques will not be allowed on site. Refreshments will also be available to purchase.

Funds raised on the night will go towards the £650,000 needed to purchase a new Gamma-CT Scanner for the RUH. This state-of-the-art equipment is used to diagnose some of the many types of Cancer that can affect us. It can also be used in the detection of heart disease, bone pain and neurological disorders.
The screening is being very kindly provided by Filmair Cinema Services. The event is also being supported by Heart 103, with the Heart Angels leading some fun and games before the film begins. For the most up-to-date information about the event, take a look at our event page.
