Marketing & Communications Manager

Salary:£31,365 to £37,890 pa

Job Type:Fixed term (12 months)

The Forever Friends Appeal is the charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, which is cherished and valued by our local community. Our team has been at the heart of providing physical and emotional wellbeing support to RUH staff during the Covid-19 crisis.

Dr F Kelly, Consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine, RUH said:

This role will lead on marketing and communications, and act as the brand guardian for the charity, ensuring that as a team we are consistent in our messaging and telling inspiring stories that engage new supporters and retain existing donors and volunteers. The successful candidate will lead the development of marketing campaigns and external communications that drive audience and income growth at the charity. You will use engaging and innovative tactics to build brand recognition and develop a strategies that supports and compliments our different income generation activities across our extensive fundraising portfolio.

This is a very varied role which involves a wide range of duties including project managing our ambitious Christmas appeal. You will need bags of initiative, be a strong team player and able to work autonomously juggling multiple activities simultaneously. SMART objectives, both financial and non-financial, will be allocated, so the post holder must be ambitious and target driven.

It’s essential that the successful candidate has experience in fundraising marketing and communications and the desire to develop a career in the charity sector whilst being part of an amazing team putting smiles on the faces of our NHS staff, patients and supporters.

Supporter Care Assistant

Salary:£19,737 to £21,142 pa

As a valued member of our busy fundraising team, you will support our individual giving programme by looking after our wonderful supporters who are fundraising for the RUH as well as supporting RUH wards and departments with their fundraising. You will deliver an exceptional supporter experience to current and new supporters through delivery of high quality supporter journeys; helping with all enquiries, and ensuring supporters feel valued and a key part of our work. This includes processing all relevant gift entries on the database, producing letters and correspondence for regular / committed donors, individuals, and support from special occasions and celebrations.
