As a valued member of our busy team, you will be supporting the charity with financial and database administration. This includes recording all donations, receipting all income and processing all event related registrations, supporter packs and gift entries on the database. You will ensure all gifts from third party systems such as JustGiving, Enthuse as well as funds direct into the Bank are administered. You will help the charity deliver an exceptional supporter experience to current and new supporters through data insights based on giving trends and supporter information for the wider Team to enable more effective segmentation, targeting and fundraising campaigns.

Events & Community Officer

This role will be central to building of relationships with our wonderful community and events supporters who fundraise for the RUH, to benefit patients and the incredible clinical staff who look after them. You will work with the Events & Community Manager and alongside other members of the team to lead on the organisation of a number of the charity’s large scale, annual flagship events such as ‘Walk of Life’ and other key fundraising campaigns, ensuring that we provide excellent supporter journeys so that our volunteers have everything they need to maximise their fundraising income, leaving them feeling great about the difference they are making to local people.

This is a very varied role which involves a wide range of fundraising duties. SMART objectives, both financial and non-financial, will be allocated, so the post holder must be team player who is ambitious and target driven. It’s essential that the successful candidate has community and events fundraising experience, as we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Reporting to the Events & Community Manager you will project manage a number of our existing events and fundraising campaigns. In addition you will be proactive at identifying and developing new opportunities for the charity and able to inspire others across a range of community audiences and groups.
