The Dyson Cancer Centre is the final part of the RUH’s Fit for the Future programme to transform its site by removing old structures and replacing them with new, innovatively-designed buildings.
Since 2012 our RUH Cancer Care Campaign for the Dyson Cancer Centre has raised nearly £10m. However, we are not stopping there – many of our donors want to continue fundraising to ensure it is truly special in its design, facilities and equipment.
The Dyson Cancer Centre has been designed around the patient and their experience and will bring together four strands – clinical excellence, therapeutic environments, a survivorship model of care and proactive research.
It will be located close to support services, opposite the new RNHRD and Brownsword Therapies Centre building, close to the Breast Unit and adjacent to improved patient and visitor car parking facilities.
A unique feature within the new Dyson Cancer Centre will be a major and integrated Macmillan Wellbeing Hub, offering advice and support to patients and their families at every step of their cancer journey.
