RUH Christmas Appeal
During this extraordinary year the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us just how important our local NHS means in times like these. Yet it’s not just during this pandemic that the hospital relies on charitable support to help our patients, families and staff.
Christmas is the most wonderful time of year. It’s a time to share with loved ones, get wrapped up in the season of giving and enjoy long-awaited festive traditions with family and friends. While most people are celebrating and making memories, there will be many others that fall ill and need to spend time in hospital – and whilst they may need to be away from their families – our staff will continue to be here for them.
Give a gift this Christmas and help secure vital funding for staff, patients and their families at the Royal United Hospitals Bath.
This Christmas is likely to be different to how we know it. We will find new family traditions and ways of connecting, at a time when it’s never been more important. And there’s one thing we do know, our services will still be needed at Christmas time and for those patients too unwell to return home, our RUH family will go to great lengths to care for all patients, giving their time, kindness and compassion.
Other ways to get involved.
Gifts of presents & toys
This Christmas, rather than donating gifts such as toys and confectionery to patients and staff in our hospitals, please will you consider making a donation instead.
We know that each year some of our amazing supporters like to bring gifts for our staff and patients, particularly for children who spend time in the Childrens ward at Christmas. This year increased infection control measures and visiting restrictions posed by COVID-19, mean that unfortunately we are unable to accept gifts of this nature this festive season. So please will you consider making a donation to support our family of hospitals instead.
