Achieve your half marathon goal this autumn while enjoying the best of Bristol.

Starting on Anchor Road near Millennium Square and Bristol Cathedral it runs parallel to the historic Bristol Harbour before continuing along Avon Gorge and taking in the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. The return route takes in Spike Island and the Cumberland Basin before passing the soaring Gothic St Mary Redcliffe, finishing on Anchor Road close to the start line so that runners can meet up with family and friends and make the most of the bars, restaurants and attractions at the Harbourside.

Finding your motivation

Our patients and their families face tough challenges every single day and staff at the RUH are always there to guide, support and care for them, day in and day out. The funds raised from your run will help us to invest in extra-special equipment and facilities that make a real difference to everyone at the hospital, that goes above and beyond what standard NHS funding can afford. In 2019, we’ll also be celebrating our 20th year of fundraising (over £20 million has been raised for the hospital over those years!), so if you’re thankful for the RUH and want us to help us continue our work with the experience of a lifetime… then why not run the Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10k to support our patients.

You’ll not only get your very own Team RUH running vest, but also the complete support of our Events team and a fundraising pack with everything you’ll need to raise money (including Sponsorship Forms).

Securing your place

All you need to do is register with the Race Organisers and complete our online form.  Then we’ll send you everything in the post to get going with your fundraising. We would love to welcome you to our team!

Registration costs £30 and all runners must be a minimum of 17 years old.
