Businesses in Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire are being invited to take part in a new corporate challenge to help raise funds for the Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath.
Launched today, the Make it Grow Corporate Challenge will run from 1 October 2019 to 31 January 2020 and companies are being invited to sign up now.
Patsy Gould, Corporate Officer said:
“The Make it Grow Corporate Challenge is a great way to involve your colleagues in fundraising for our local hospital. The concept is simple – we will give every company a starter fund of £20 and the aim is to make that amount grow more than any other company who is taking part in the challenge.
“Businesses who take part will be able to choose where to donate their funds, whether it goes to a specific area of the hospital which they have a special connection with or to one of our fundraising campaigns such as the RUH Cancer Care campaign or the Breast Unit Special Appeal.
“We have already received a fantastic response from the local business community – Hollywood Bowl, based in Longwell Green are one of the first companies to sign up and we are looking forward to more companies joining our leaderboard.”
Laura Durrant, Centre Manager at Hollywood Bowl said:
“We already have lots of fundraising ideas and have a number of events planned to raise as much as we can. We want to win this challenge as well as support our charity of the year, The Forever Friends Appeal.”
Businesses who would like to take part in the challenge will need to sign up on The Forever Friends Appeal’s website by 1 October. All participants will receive a free fundraising pack which is full of tools, tips and ideas on how companies can make their £20 grow.
