M J Church raises over £100,000

Over £100,000 has been raised for the Appeal by M J Church, the Chippenham-based contractor.

The company has supported us since 2000, and have fundraised for the Dyson Centre for Neonatal Care and more recently our Cancer Care Campaign. Paula Church, Director at M J Church said:

“Our dedicated team at M J Church are all very passionate about supporting our local hospital – and as a local company we enjoy getting behind a cause that is close to the hearts of so many people. I am so pleased that as a company we have been able to support the Dyson Centre for Neonatal Care and most recently, the Cancer Care Campaign. I would like to thank everyone in the company involved in helping us reaching this wonderful amount.”

Co-owners Paula and Mike and their staff have fundraised in a number of ways including having a Santa’s grotto event, coffee pot donations and race days at Bath Racecourse. The race day held in May was their most successful fundraising event – an incredible £36,749 was raised and donated towards building the pioneering new Cancer Centre at the RUH.

Since being named as one of the charity’s Principle Corporate Partners, M J Church will receive a specialist area named after them in the new Cancer Centre.

Tim Hobbs, Head of Fundraising said:

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paula, Mike and the team at M J Church for their kind and continued support of the Appeal over the last 18 years. Their commitment to The Appeal has been incredible and with their help we have been able to achieve some fantastic things here at the RUH, like our Dyson Centre for Neonatal Care and building our pioneering new Cancer Centre. We are so grateful to them for raising this fantastic amount.

“The Appeal has currently raised £8.9 million for the new Cancer Centre and it is very much hoped that with the help of donors and companies like M J Church, we will be able to generate nearly £10m towards the building.”
