Funds raised on the evening will greatly contribute to the recently launched RUH Space for Cancer Care Campaign which aims to raise £5 million towards the construction of a groundbreaking Cancer Centre. The clinical skills offered by the medical team at the RUH are exceptional; however, the poor quality 1940’s single story buildings are not ideal and do not enable the clinicians to provide a positive environment necessary to support the healing process.  The RUH treats over 2000 new cancer patients every year, making this project crucial. While the NHS are funding 75% of the building work, The Forever Friends Appeal has the task of raising the remaining £5 million over the next 4 years.
