Tony and Carrie Osborne, from Swan Artworks picture framers, in Midsomer Norton, will be holding a charity prize draw to win a framed David Fisher print, donated by his widow, Brenda. David, who was a very well-known artist in the area, sadly passed away in March this year after battling cancer and fellow artists and friends, Tony and Carrie, wanted to help Brenda in raising money in his memory.
Speaking to The Journal this week, Brenda Fisher said: “It is good of Swan Artworks to sell raffle tickets on behalf of the ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign at the RUH. We have been raising money ever since David’s funeral for the cause and the total stands at £2,700.”
In fundraising terms, £1,000 is enough for ‘a wall’ for the new pioneering Cancer Centre and so David will now have at least two walls in his name. The new centre will provide a more holistic healing environment for patients and their families.
