Local group of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, Monahans, have become a Silver Sponsor of the new Time and Place exhibition at the Royal United Hospital. As one of the leading independent groups of Chartered Accountants in the West of England, Monahans provide support to clients all across Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset. Now they are extending their support to the local community by sponsoring a new exhibition of artworks at the RUH.
Organised through Art at the Heart at the RUH in partnership with local organisation Somerset Art Works, the Time and Place exhibition is inspired by Somerset’s landscapes, seasons and nature. The exhibition will run from October 2015 to January 2016 and exhibit in the main hospital building (Central Corridor, Zone B). Exhibitions at the RUH reach an audience of 22,000 and create a therapeutic and thought provoking environment for all who pass through the hospital corridors. Art within the hospital aims to improve well-being, decrease anxiety and ultimately reduce time spent in hospital.
Time and Place launched this October with a special Private View event with Monahans who have long been keen supporters of local art projects. Martin Longmore, Partner at Monahans said: “As our local hospital, we felt it was important to support Time and Place, which will positively impact on the wellbeing of many patients and visitors at RUH.”
Corporate Officer for the Appeal, Louisa Smyllie, comments: “We are thrilled that Monahans have chosen to sponsor our latest art exhibition here at the RUH. The support from local businesses is vital to ensure future projects can continue within our local hospital and we hope that other businesses will be inspired to support our Art at the Heart programme.
