To celebrate the company’s five year anniversary, Simple Recruitment based in Paulton have chosen to support the Royal United Hospital’s Forever Friends Appeal as their chosen charity partner. Company Director, Jayla Wilcox, launched the business in April 2009 and has therefore decided that their five year anniversary was the perfect opportunity to engage the company in focusing all its fundraising efforts towards one local charity.
To co-ordinate with their anniversary, Simple Recruitment have launched a fabulous new website www.simplerecruitmentltd.co.uk which includes a page all about Jayla and the Simple Recruitment teams support for The Forever Friends Appeal’s Campaign to help build a pioneering new Cancer Centre for the hospital.
Due to Jayla’s passion for sport, she has recently signed up for a Colour me Rad 5k event in August, the Chippenham Half Marathon in September, shortly followed by the Bristol Half just a few weeks later. Jayla comments: “I have participated in many sporting events over the years and have often thought I should try and combine my sporting activity, a charity and my business contacts in some way- it seemed a little daft training and doing these events just to say I have done them without someone/thing benefiting, with the anniversary of Simple Recruitment I thought it would be nice to do something to mark the event.
Working with The Forever Friends Appeal campaign to help build a new Cancer Care Centre for the hospital seemed the perfect answer. Sadly we have all been touched by cancer, if not personally then through friends, family or neighbours. I hope that with the people I know, business contacts I have made and alike we can raise a great sum of money for a great cause.”
The RUH Cancer Care Campaign is raising £8.5million towards the building of a pioneering and urgently needed new Cancer Centre. The RUH treats over 2200 new cancer patients every year, and although the clinical care is amongst the best in the UK, the buildings are outdated, uncomfortable and no longer fit for purpose. Using innovative design and state-of-the-art technology, the new Centre promises to become a healing environment that will dramatically improve patient care.
Simple Recruitment are also supporting the Appeal by signing up to be a screen sponsor for the 2014 annual Movie by Moonlight on Sunday 31st August in Royal Victoria Park, Bath. Showing the popular hit musical Grease, this annual event is free entry, with donations and fundraising on the night. Corporate Officer for The Forever Friends Appeal, Jo Common, comments: “It is wonderful to see Jayla and her team so passionate about supporting our Campaign for a new Cancer Centre. So many of us are touched by cancer, so this is what makes our Campaign to help build a new Cancer Centre at the RUH so close to people’s hearts. Jayla and her team have lots of sporty plans for the next few months, so please get on board and support their fundraising challenge.”
