Bath-based financial services company Altus Ltd has raised over £10,000 for the Forever Friends Appeal, following their second annual charity golf day which was held at Bath Golf Club.
In total, Altus has raised an incredible £11,894 and this amount will go to the Children’s Ward at the Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath to thank staff for the care given to the daughter of one of their colleagues who was born with a serious heart condition.
Martyn Evans, Consulting Director, Altus said: “We wanted to give something back to the hospital for supporting a former colleague whose daughter, Clara was born with a form of congenital heart disease and the Children’s Ward was instrumental in monitoring her condition.
“Clara spent a lot of time in hospital and has since undergone open heart surgery. The RUH team have continued to monitor her progress and development and we are delighted to donate this amount to show our gratitude for the support given to her and her family.”
A representative from the charity was presented with a cheque for £5,784 that was raised at their golf day. Altus has since been welcomed as a Corporate Partner of The Forever Friends Appeal for raising over £10,000.
Jo Common, Corporate Officer, The Forever Friends Appeal said:
“We are so pleased to have had Altus’s support for a second year running and their golfers certainly didn’t let the torrential rain dampen their spirits. We would like take this opportunity to thank the Altus team for their kind support.”
