Local school girls organise fair to raise funds for the Cancer Care Campaign

A huge thank you to four pupils from Kingswood School who organised a fair at Marshfield Village Hall to raise funds for The Forever Friends Appeal’s Cancer Care Campaign. Georgia Drew and Libby Taylor, 11 years old, along with Holly Drew and Issey Taylor wanted to get into the fundraising spirit and raise funds and help all those affected by this life changing diagnosis.

They organised the fair on their own with all sorts of fun and games and items for sale. In total the day raised an amazing £340.20, which was presented to Big Ted himself. Their wonderful donation will help build a pioneering new Cancer Centre that will transform care for patients and their families at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

Laura Pearce, Events Fundraiser comments “We are always grateful to have such a variety of dedicated people supporting and fundraising for The Forever Friends Appeal. The girls should be so pleased with themselves- organising an event at a young age is a huge achievement in itself, not to mention the fantastic amount they raised. We are thrilled to have their support. Well done girls!”
