The MiniWorld Action Day is coming to Castle Combe Circuit on Saturday 29th September and has chosen The Forever Friends Appeal as its beneficiary charity. Celebrating its 20th Anniversary year, the MiniWorld Action Day is one of the biggest events of the year at Castle Combe and is the place to be with thousands of Minis attending, big crowds, an enthusiastic audience and the Mighty Mini Racers raising funds for the RUH’s Cancer Care Campaign.
Mini drivers, Mini Clubs and non-Mini drivers are all welcome- it is open for everyone.
MiniWorld Action Day is considered the most cost effective way of driving on an international circuit in the UK. Mini owners and Clubs can book track sessions and experience the thrill of circuit driving at the Giant Lunchtime Mini Action Day 20th Anniversary Cruise.
Rodney Gooch, Spokesman at Castle Combe comments: “It’s a very warm welcome back to the Mighty Mini Racers who for so many years have provided Fast Passenger Laps to spectators and visitors. For just £20 you will be taken around on the ultimate White Knuckle Ride driven by one of the top Mighty Mini Racers in the country, you could even be sitting next to a Champion, as already confirmed to appear is 2010 Mighty Mini Champion, Louise Inch.”
“The Mini Action Day is our favourite time of the year”, Louise Inch, Might Mini Champion.
All money raised from the rides will be going to The Forever Friends Appeal’s Cancer Care Campaign- building a new pioneering Cancer Centre at the RUH. Over the years, the Mighty Mini Racers have raised around £20,000 for several local good causes, but with the opportunity of a ride of a lifetime this total will continue to grow.
Zoe Tainton, Community Fundraiser at The Forever Friends Appeal says: “This is a world-wide recognised event that is supporting the RUH’s Cancer Care Campaign – we are very excited to be there on the day.
For all those that may not know already- the Appeal is raising a minimum of £5m over the next 4 years towards the cost of the £20.5m new Cancer Centre at the RUH. This is a huge project which will make dramatic changes to the RUH. The Centre will deliver a uniquely beneficial healing environment with improved outcomes, an exceptional patient experience and a strong focus on long-term survivorship.
We are very grateful that the Mighty Mini Racers are able to help us- it’s a once in a lifetime ride for all those Mini Fanatics!”
Return of the Daleks and friends will also be roaming around the paddock posing for photographs, adding to the atmosphere and also collecting funds for the RUH’s Cancer Care Campaign.
To enter your Mini Club, book a Track Session or purchase advanced spectator tickets at just £10.00 (£12.00 on the day) please book either on line at www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk or telephone the Circuit Office on 01249 782417. Advance Bookings are open until a week prior to the event.
