The Owls of Bath charity auction is this Wednesday 17th October at the Apex Hotel in Bath, when the super sized owl sculptures that have entertained thousands of residents and visitors to Bath this summer will be flying the nest and are now looking for new homes. The eye-catching, individually decorated owls would be a fantastic addition to any garden, home or business!
The auction will be hosted by Greg Ingham, Chair of Creative Bath and Media Clash, with charismatic charity auctioneer Addison Gelpey and Bonhams Bath taking the bids. Olympic gold medalist Amy Williams MBE who painted OWLympus the Owlet, will be auctioning some of the owls and BBC Points West is planning to broadcast live from the the event.
Guests can have their photos taken and printed with Pip the real Little Owl and all 61 of the owls and owlets being auctioned will be on view at the event.

CHARITIES -100% of event profits will be donated local charities – the new Royal United Hospital Cancer and Therapies Centres; Bath Young Carers’ Centre (a vital resource for children who look after ill, frail or disabled family members); the Roman Baths Archway Project (opening up secret Roman tunnels & creating a new World Heritage education centre) and the UK Little Owl Project (based in Bath and working to protect Little Owls, whose numbers have declined by over 60% in recent years.
6.15pm – Big Hoot bubbly (and Kir RoyOWL) reception, with selection of hot savoury dishes. View all 61 owl sculptures and have your photo taken with Pip the real Little Owl and printed out to take home. Pick up raffle tickets for a chance to win ‘Raff’Owl’, the large white owl (draw at approx 9.30pm).
6.30pm – BBC Points West broadcast from the auction
7.35pm – Greg Ingham, Chair of Creative Bath and Media Clash welcomes guests and introduces charity auctioneer Addison Gelpey.
9.45pm – approx – auction ends. Draw the Raff’Owl winners.
