It’s just a few days until the Rodney Cook Memorial Rally weekend – 700 detectorists are expected to travel from all over the world to Bath. From Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September a charity weekend of metal detecting will be held in aid of raising funds for the RUH Cancer Care Campaign.
Last year, the first first charity metal detecting weekend organised by the Trowbridge and District Metal Detecting Club raised in incredible £27,000 for our RUH Cancer Campaign in memory of Rodney Cook.
Rodney sadly passed away in September 2017 after a brave two year battle with cancer. He was treated and cared for by staff at the RUH.
The club’s aim again this year is to provide a warm welcome and fantastic fun weekend for all whilst raising money towards the Dyson Cancer Centre and the children’s cancer charity, Clic Sargent. As well as metal detecting, there will be a live band, disco, raffle and more.
If you would like to support the Trowbridge and District Metal Club, all donations will be gratefully received via their JustGiving Page
