Now in its 6th year, we are pleased to announce that this year’s Big Gig ha got even bigger. The event will now run over the weekend of the 11th – 12th of July in our purpose built marquee with a fully licenced bar at Midsomer Norton Rugby Club with all profits made going towards our very deserving local charities which, this year, are the RUH Forever Friends appeal to raise money for a new cancer treatment centre; Time is Precious; Children’s Hospice Southwest; Dorothy House and the Mitch Chalmers appeal.
The weekend will start with MC Fader presenting Big Bass music including Changing Ways, South West Squad, Hailstorm, James Bridges Rash DJ and more on Friday night, a 5-a side football tournament on the Saturday afternoon for the Mark Netherwood and Mark Box cups and finally the Big Gig itself on the Saturday night featuring 7 local bands including: White City Shakers; Johnnies Day Out; Truth and the Happy Endings; Venezuelan Pig Rustlers; Aztec Hotel; Real Life and to finish the night off the very special Big Gig Big Band!
